I-Extend dentistry PROMO has been developed by Dentists and Health Professionals based on research into the postural difficulties many Dental Practitioners face. This free version gives you a chance to try 3 exercises in the upper trapezius area, which is one of the seven major tension areas identified by the i-Extend team. The exercises in I-Extend dentistry PROMO can be performed in three minutes or less. They are simple, practical and most of all effective. The exercises can be performed ‘in surgery’ in your work clothes, between patients or in appropriate breaks. The exercises can also be performed at home if you wish. Here is how to use the app.

Choose a target area on the body of the anatomical man where you are experiencing tension. Then choose an exercise from the pop up menu:

A mobilization exercise to get the joint moving more fluidly and easily
A pressure point exercise using a hard rubber ball to reduce tension in the muscles and increase blood flow.
A stretch to help lengthen short tight muscles.

Push play for a demonstration of how to perform your chosen exercise, then you do the exercise while we talk you through it. You can see the animated man doing the exercise at the same time. All the exercises can be demonstrated and performed in three minutes or less.

PLEASE NOTE: One of the exercises in the app uses a hard rubber ball. To be able to perform the pressure point exercise demonstrated in the app it is recommended that you purchase an appropriate ball. We currently service Australia and N.Z with our balls specially designed for the relevant exercise. They can be purchased from the side menu of the app. For other countries that we currently do not service a ball of the same size and density may also be used. We recommend a la crosse ball which can be purchased easily through the internet. Balls vary in cost from $ 5 - $15 USD excluding shipping costs. A ball of similar size and density can also be used.
